DID I MENTION WE WERE FLAILING WHEN THE ANGELS CAME AROUND
APPEARANCE [attr="class","agar"]Long hair, seemingly more silver or lavender in color, it falls down to her waist and bangs cover her forehead (and is actually dyed constantly at the roots though she will sometimes claim that it is natural). Her face often seems almost like stone. She often shows very little expression, but when she does, it can seem to be over-exaggerated. There is really no in between in terms of her expression except maybe small glimpses of her lips upturning in a smile. She oftentimes has a braid running down the left side in her hair behind her ear, or her hair is pulled back in a low ponytail save for two long locks in the front and her bangs. Her eyes are a piercing light pinkish-lavender color, one of her very distinct features that hasn't changed at all over the years and one way that someone who knew who she was in the past would be able to recognize her. She changed her hair and style so much from the past that anyone who doesn't know her gaze would have trouble recognizing her. She stands at five feet and seven inches, average weight for her height. Tattoos are an important part of her life. She has a tribal tattoo under her left eye, though she got it so long ago that she doesn’t even remember the significance of it. She also has what appears to be a large amount of tick marks on her arm. No one really knows what they signify. In terms of other tattoos, she has a mandala tattoo sleeve going down her right arm, as well as a lacy underboob tattoo, a tribal spiritomb on her ribs, and another tribal tattoo of a zoroark on her left thigh. | PERSONALITY [attr="class","agar"]*Mnemosyne suffers from dissociative identity disorder, so her personality will be written covering several of her alters. Each alter has a different political position, which will be explained in the other section. Mnemosyne herself is an overall calm girl, age thirty-one. She was not the girl who was abused in the past, and doesn’t remember much at all from her younger years. She fronts a majority of the time and can be seen picking at her skin. She has a tough skin for things that people say and thinks that she’s good at making comebacks to people. She can be flirtatious and friendly, but stands her ground when she needs to and can recognize when she’s in danger. She’s smart, but not the most intricate with putting her words together. She likes to keep people by her side, but she isn’t the most open with people about her disorder, yet it confuses people when she refers to herself in plural, for example instead of saying “I was there” she would say “we were there” because of her different alters. She is strong-willed and brave, curious, though often cynical of the world. She/her pronouns. Ashen is the one who caused her to be locked up in the first place, around the age of twenty-six. Ashen and Mnemosyne often butt heads in the system just because of how strong-willed both of them are and clash against each other. She often is seen as the temptation of the system—that little whisper in your ear to tell you to do something. She likes to encourage others to make bad choices, and when she can she likes to take over the system and front, especially when Mnemosyne is in a bad mood and vanishes in the system. She/her or they/them pronouns. Lucien is the only male in the system and he is a selective mute, around the age of twenty-two. He knows sign language and is a very shy person, often being pushed around by Ashen when the two come in contact with each other, but Lucien is such a stark difference from the two others already mentioned that it’s strange when he fronts. He is especially self-conscious about his appearance because he feels that he is in this wrong body and begins to go through bouts of dysphoria. He/him pronouns. Astra is another female in the system and she is stuck in being a child, around the age of nine. She is the missing piece of the child abuse case that is kept extremely locked up in the system. No one really knows that she exists, but she is still there and is extremely weak. She/her pronouns. Yvonne is one of the other alters who is strong, but she is very naïve, around the age of thirty-nine. She likes to see all that is right in the world and thinks that there is good in everyone, while the other alters (save for Mnemosyne) chastise her for this and try to convince her otherwise. She’s a very motherly figure and when she comes out, she might come off as a bit too motherly to people. She/her pronouns. The final one that is currently important is Luzia, who is a mirror of Lucien, around the age of twenty-two. The two of them often co-front the system and talk to one another, knowing each other the best out of the whole system. Luzia is shy around new people, but a very optimistic person. She is creative and loves to draw, and if Mnemosyne ever gets her hands on a pen rather than a pencil, she will be drawing in washable ink on unseen skin as opposed to etching things and watching them vanish. She/her or they/them pronouns. |

[PTab=BIOGRAPHY]
AND THEY JUST SAT THERE THEY WERE WAITING FOR THE FIRST OF US TO DROWN
BACKGROUND [attr="class","agar"]TW: death, abuse She had a troubled past, to put it simple. When she was very young, her parents were abusive—more specifically her father and her maternal aunt (or rather, her stepmother after her mother died). Her mother died when she was young and her father started to physically and emotionally abuse her, which is how her dissociative identity disorder came about. It was a way for her mind to forget about all of these things, and even now, she doesn’t remember a lot of her younger years and childhood because they are locked up in one of the alters. Her father had locked her in her room and Mnemosyne had been stuck there for several days during her early teen years. Her father forced to go to school when she wasn’t stuck in the room. She had trouble making friends, and it wasn’t like she was able to invite anyone over to her house. If she was ever invited over, she had to say no. She felt like she couldn’t even talk to anyone, not even going to the counselor or anything. She endured this until she was able to move out of her parents’ home during her years studying, and her system dividing into more and more alters. When she was twenty-two was when Ashen came out. Ashen was a very angry, relentless alter, and she ended up murdering her father and stepmother/aunt, as well as her young half-brother. She turned herself in after realizing what Ashen did, and was put behind bars for voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 15 years, but was let out after investigations and the case was reevaluated and labeled as justifiable homicide and she was let out after a year. After she was released from prison, she wasn’t really sure what to do with her life. She ended up moving to the Cyal Region and to Richitev City in order to work at the Service Pokemon Center. She dyed her hair and changed her style, trying her best to become a new person, and after many years she ended up taking over the business when the original owner retired. She feels closer to pokemon than she does to other people, and she feels like her pokemon, especially Polysemy, can really understand her and take her for who she is. She is glad to be working at the center despite her mental illness and takes each day as it comes. | POLITICAL VIEWS [attr="class","agar"]Because of her dissociative identity disorder, each alter has differing political views, so each alter will be touched upon. Mnemosyne is neutral in general on politics. She is more on the side of the government than on the side of the rebels because she is trying her best to end up out of prison or out of a psychiatric hospital. There was a period of time where she tried to get a job in the government, but because of her mental health and criminal history she was unable to. Ashen is very vocal about her advocacy, not understanding why the tribes wouldn't want to assimilate and she is behind the governments plans for Evter Island. Lucien and Luzia are in agreement of being rebels. Lucien is more emotional than Luzia in general and feels sorry for the tribes, thinking that it isn't right that the government is behaving as they are, but because of his shyness and being a selective mute he is unable to do anything about the situation. Luzia is often the voice of reason and tries to see both sides of the situation, but sides more with rebels because she cannot find any value in swapping the lives of people for making money. Astra does not know much about politics and rarely comes out, so as far as known, she does not have her own opinions about the situation. Yvonne is neutral, though siding more with the rebels. She is the motherly figure of the group and much like Luzia, will try to be a voice of reason, but also is under the idea that she cannot do anything about it, so she states that she is neutral. |
